Our target audience is ranged from 15 - 25 year olds, this is the largest target audience for horror movies so this is the market that we needed to look at.
From doing audience feedback it taught us a lot more on what good points we had made in our horror trailer, but also what parts needed involving. Our horror trailer was screened infront of our A2 media class where we had to make notes and give feedback as to what we thought of each others trailers, this really made us progress more as by looking at the trailer just in our group we wouldn't of thought of these problems and so it gave us a new look in the trailer. The feedback that we would get would be from each student and would contain both negative and positive points, what helped more was that our class was in the age range for our target audience so this improved our feedback quality even more. The age range that we have focused on for our horror trailer is between the ages of 15 and 25, this is because this is horror movies main target audience and when they generate most of their sales. The main good feedback that we got was the audience really liked the canted angles that was shot in the forest, there is one at the begining of the horror trailer and also more canted angles towards the end of the trailer. The feedback about the canted angles was that it added more mystery, and it also relates to the horror title of deranged as it isn't normal events.
It also adds the effect of looking scary and also adds to the location, which is a very important factor in a horror movie this is because it adds the effect of isolation and that there is no help coming and which characters are going to make it out alive and the story plot.
I also asked some of my friends and family what their thoughts where about the teaser trailer that we have produced, these where that they liked the ending of the trailer because after the title of the movie they thought the trailer was going to end. But instead there was the victim being pulled along with screams along with it that made, that suprised the viewers but it was something that they liked. The overall impression they thought was that it was designed to scare the viewers, especially with the flickering between the reality and horror of what might come. Their negaitve points was that the frame in the hot tub was a bit too dark, to make out the protagonists body. And that maybe a voice over could of been added to suugest why one of their friends have turned, though some people thought this needed to be left out so that viewers will go and watch the movie at the cinemas to find out. The teaser trailer also showed the point of the trailer and also gave a message, of trying to impact a film of terror. Another positive point that was made was that the frames were very well shot and there was good camera work, but it also concentrates on the individual and puts you in the point of view of the victim and whats happening to them.
The audience feedback that we got was very useful this was because the faults that we over looked the audience didn't, this meant that they could pick them up and we could improve them in ways. This is because our trailer was a working progress, and we tried to stick to the key conventions of a horror trailer. When i asked my family and friends they could make out the key conventions in the trailer very easy, from the shots of the house and the lighting they could tell the genre was horror. The music they also thought was emotive and keeping with the genre, and that it especially kept the tension going with the music used in the running scenes through the woods but that it helped having the heavy breathing and also one of the victims saying "should we really go in there". The part of the voice over is to tease us into wanting to see the movie by asking, but we shouldn't answer the questions in the teaser trailer instead that is left for the movie. This is where our trailer has followed the key conventions as the victims leave questions in the teaser trailer, so we wonder in the film will they regret for going into some where maybe they shouldn't of. The iconography in a horror movie should be clear and quick some that our target audience will catch on quick, and our horror trailer does this within the first ten seconds of the horror trailer.
I also asked for some feedback on my poster and magazine the feedback that I got hard both negative and postive points, this is how I managed to make improvments where they was needed. The reaction that I got from the poster was that it was simple and not cluttered, and they really liked the image of the main protagonist and how I had layered the image as they said it related to the title of the movie. The negative points that I got was the writing wasn't very clear, so I then made the colour of the text slightly more lighter, and then made it bigger with a more bold text so it could easily be read even from a slight distance. I then asked for their point of view on my magazine cover, the positive points that I got was that they liked the image of the main protagonist where I had in photoshop added dark strokes to the picture of the character. They also liked the used of contrast of the colours that stood out but worked well together, and that the magazine sticked to the three colour guide line. They also liked the picture of the victim that I was used in the top right corner of the magazine, as it shows him being dragged along and whether he is to survive or not. One negative point that was made is that the image in the middle didn't look right, so I then removed it to make it look a lot better and it also made it look less cluttered.
Another positive point was that they liked the house that we featured in the horror trailer, this features at the begining of the horror trailer where the party is at. This also conists with most of the trailer as it is featured in the dark, and also has the house from the lights adding a nice lighting effect. Another point thatw as made was that the trailer was abstract disturbing, and they liked how it was scary and jumpy. This is a good thing because it keeps the viewers at the dge of their seats, and means the movie isn't boring and would want to find out how the story ended. Though we also had some negative feedback this is what we corrected in our trailer after the feedback to make it more better, this was how the trailer does not link together as it wasn't clear how they got from the party to the forest though some people liked this fact as it added more mystery. The main negative point that we had received in our feedback was the comment about the intertitles not having a impact on the audience as they was very plain and could be used to fit the genre of the movie, and we also had the suggestion to change some of the colours. So this was a factor that we had to change by making the font more exciting and keeping it in the white font colour.
We made the intertitles more interesting by also adding a lighting affect behind the text, this way it makes it looks more eye catching and not boring like the old text. One suggestion that we got was that some of the quick shots were too quick so that the viewers couldn't read what was going on in the frame, one of these frames was the shot of the phone showing they had no signal this was incorporated because it added the sense of no help and how will they manage to survive when they are in total isolation. Another frame that was too quick was some of the running shots that showed the victims running through the forest away from the villian, so we made both of these frames longer so that they didn't look so jumpy.

You must explain your target audience is to begin with. Then you must explore the feedback received for your product as an example of the horror genre and also as an advertising products This answer is also not very thorough. For example you mention "some" of the negative points. You should go carefully through each positive and negative explaining the reasons for the praise of criticism.
