This is the music magazine that i decided to create which involved images from our Deranged teaser trailer, at first we needed to do research on previous music magazines this is because we need to see what makes them successful and what a music magazine needs to have on the front cover. I decided to have a picture of peter on the front cover of my music magazine because he is the main character in the movie, i decided though to make him look more evil as in horror movie the evil character is normally focused in dark colours that normally hide their facial featues. This also goes back to other horror movies where the monsters hide in the dark, and it wasn't until prothetics developed that monsters where seen more in movies as before hand they didn't look as real. I first put the main character in photoshop and added dark strokes to him, so that he doesn't have so much detail towards the face epscially the trailer is set towards the end in the forst at dark. I think this works well because we can't make out many features like the eye colour and facial features and gives more a mystery as to whether the character is human or not. I also used the movie mag as the title to my magazine in the white large, bold font but then changed the style by adding lines through it to make it look old and scratched like some signs you get in horror movies. The background image is the woods which is the main location of the movie, plus i also think this works will as it shows the location of the horror movie as it shows the isolation of the woods. In the top right corner it features on of the characters from the trailer where he is being dragged along the floor, though we aren't sure if its the evil character doing this or something else and so leaves this mystery that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats as they want to know if the characters makes it out alive. I decided to make this character lighter as in horror movies the evil characters are normally featured dark compared to the good characters wearing white and being feature in more lighter colours and so i think this is a good contrast.

Movie Poster
For my poster i wanted it to be simple and not over complicated, i decided to have the main character featured in the middle of the page and close up. Though when editng the image in photoshop i decided to put another layer ontop of the characters face and make it a slightly darker contrast, this way it looks unatural and relates to the title. When i put the layer ontop i made it slightly out of alignment with the orginal image, this way it looks like a horror movie just from looking at the poster. I choose this image because of the blood poured over the face, and the facial expressions that Peter had used while we started shooting the pictures of him. Because of this i liked the relfection off the blood which is commonly used in horror but more as a spot light, the blood is poured on the majority of the characters face so it looks more like a horror movie from straight away looking at a horror poster. I also tried to relate the writing and picture together and i done this by the tag line at the top, with the text first in red and then i added the same overlay pattern ontop in a black/ brown colour. This way the writing doesn't look as clear which is the same as the picture they both look unatural, and just adds more of a illusion.
