Deranged teaser trailer 2011
This is the final product of our horror teaser trailer, teaser trailers are designed to not be long and just to gain awareness of a new and upcoming movie. After the teaser trailer has been out for a while the movie trailer is released that normally lasts longer and is designed to gain more awareness, but it also shows more of what the movie is going to be about as there is press releases at the same time including movie magazines and interviews with the stars and merchandising so that cinema viewings will be very high in the first week. I think that our horrror trailer sticks to the typical conventions of horror teaser trailer, this is because is short and brief and is straight to the point it also shows the location so the audience gets more of a feel of what is going to happen in the movie. The teaser trailer is also dark and shows running victims so we don't need to check the genre of the movie, as we can guess what the genre of the movie already is. Within the first few seconds of a teaser trailer we normally can see a bit of horror but gets worse towards the end, and leaves it at a cliff hanger so that people will watch the movie. Also we can notice that in horror trailers in both the teaser and the trailer they are very dark with horror trailers, so it makes us think of monsters hiding in the dark and not showing them selves until its too late.
